Why we like the Akademik Ioffe

  • Superior stability and quietness through water, contributing to a more comfortable voyage
  • High 1A ice class rating with outstanding manoeuvrability from both bow and stern thrusters, and a captain who has been sailing this vessel for over 20 years
  • Authentic expeditionary-style ship on the outside, 5* customer service on the inside
  • Just 96 passengers and a high staff to passenger ratio (1:4/5) mean small groups on landings
  • Dedicated Adventure Concierge personnel on each cabin deck, ensuring everyone is comfortable
  • Spacious interior public areas and exterior decks provide everyone with plenty of space

Customer Tips

A word about the choice of cabins. Being on Deck 5 was good advice - we had enough privacy, with easy access to the bridge, spa and library, which we frequented throughout the trip.
