Tierra del Fuego in Style

Day 1: Arrive Ushuaia, afternoon trip to National Park

Arriving into Ushuaia in the morning you will be taken to your home for the next few days by the hotel’s shuttle service. Once checked-in you will be able to unwind and enjoy the setting of your hotel; most people arrive in the afternoon after a long day’s travel so we have left the afternoon free for your exploration.

The hotel offers access to the gym and relaxing spa, or you might like to take a stroll along the isolated beaches near the hotel. This evening we have included dinner at the hotel’s fusion restaurant.

Day 2: Half day experience of your choice 

After enjoying breakfast you will take one of the Ushuaia experiences that you will have chosen: It might be a morning exploring the nearby national park with your guide; take a small boat ride along the Beagle Channel to witness the sea lions and abundant birdlife, if you’re feeling energetic you might want to go hiking in the foothills of the Andes mountains close to Ushuaia and with fantastic panoramic vistas; or perhaps hiking from your hotel to climb some 600mts to a nearby viewpoint for magnificent views. All experiences will begin and end at the hotel and last approximately 4hrs.

Once more the afternoon is yours for doing as you wish. The Hotel’s included shuttle service can take you into town, just a 5 minute drive away, where you might enjoy the local ambience, do some souvenir shopping or take in some of the informative museums that Ushuaia has to offer. This quaint frontier town is a scenic place to spend a leisurely afternoon.

Day 3: Full day cultural experience on Tierra del Fuego

Today our guide will show you the real Tierra del Fuego on a full day small group experience. You might choose to take our Andes to Atlantic Road-Trip as you cross the mountains by and the island of Tierra del Fuego to discover the incredible views over the wild southern Atlantic Ocean at Cabo San Pablo. The varied topography and wildlife of the area will fascinate you as your guide relates fascinating tales of past explorers to the End of the World. Today’s picnic lunch will certainly have a wonderful view! Short walks are taken and a stop at a sheep ranch will provide great photo opportunities and the chance to find out, first-hand, what life is like at the end of the world.

Alternatively, take our Artisan Fishing with Gourmet Lunch Experience as through the Southern Patagonian forest, with a walk in the forest en-route, before arriving at a small fishing village on the coast. Here, you will meet your hosts who will  show you first-hand their method of artisan crab fishing, perhaps trying your hand at fishing for your lunch! Witness how the locals cook this delicious local meal in their rustic home, before savouring the flavours of this exquisite ‘Fueguian’ dish.

Return to your hotel in the evening, with a new appreciation for the vastness and richness of the island of Tierra del Fuego.

Day 4: Antarctic voyage

This morning is for you to enjoy at your own pace, perhaps explore the city one final time or do some last-minute shopping before boarding your Antarctic vessel for setting sail in the afternoon. Swoop will inform you of the logistics for boarding your ship and provide transport to the dock area. Fair winds!
