Life before Swoop
Originally from Australia, I travelled the world at a young age as a pro tennis player visiting over 30 countries. During my teens I was incredibly fortunate to visit Antarctica with my grandfather who has a glacier named after him from his many years working on the continent.
After retiring from tennis I founded an Antarctic travel guide site to help people planning their trips which was a success with over 30,000 visitors per year. Following this I spent two years in the adventure travel space, marketing and selling high altitude treks to destinations such as Everest, Kilimajaro and Bhutan.
Day to day at Swoop
Having also completed a Masters in Filmmaking, I now work for Swoop in a dual role that focuses on both sales and video. My aim is to help customers find exactly the right trip for them using my firsthand experience, while expanding Swoop's video presence.
Why I love Antarctica
Antarctica, for me, is still the last true wilderness on our planet. There's nothing quite like it and it's definitely one of the few places I struggle to describe. The sheer size and tranquility of Antarctica puts everything else into perspective which is really quite empowering and healthy.
The next adventure
Wearing both of my professional hats I would love to go to The Arctic.
