What was the highlight of your trip?
So many! Gold Harbour - we got up early to beat the winds, and we were first landing at 5 am in the morning. What an amazing sight full of animals, beautiful backdrop and no humans! Stunning. Half Moon bay, our last stop in Antartica, the sun shone, the snow sketched landscape, beautiful shimmering water and fabulous Chinstrap penguins. No one wanted to leave. On top of the that the lectures were a highlight, such amazing insight and talent in our staff on board. And taking part in the Citizen Science programmes onboard were informative, scary in we could see the impact of humans on the land.
On a scale of 1 to 10, how likely are you to recommend Swoop to friends or family?
10 out of 10
How would you rate your trip to Antarctica?
20 out of 10! It was pretty fantastic overall.
How likely is it you would recommend your partner(s) to friends or family?
Very likely. And we are likely to book another trip.
What feedback or advice do you have for Swoop and our future Antarctic travellers?
For Swoop, you did a fabulous job of getting us prepared before we went, and even before that guiding us on which of the expeditions met what we wanted to achieve. I have never found that before in all of my (Long!) life of travels. Even your guidance on which cabin to book, was outstandingly right. You might want to include a note of the Citizen science programmes in the relevant places on your website. It might be a deciding factor for some travellers. For future Antarctic travellers, book it and book it now - we all need to be ambassadors for this unique planet of ours and you won't understand that until you visit South Georgia and Antartica.
