What was your most memorable moment?

Each zodiac landing on Antarctica and walking on the continent itself was memorable. What an adventure! Being able to see penguins and seals in their natural environment and watch them walk right by me was a real thrill!

Tell us about the wildlife

It is so hard to believe that animals in their natural habitat can be so beautiful and fun to watch. Their lives can’t be easy in such a harsh environment. It was interesting to really study the penguins...what a busy, hard life they seem to lead! It was also interesting to see so many birds and be able to identify them. There certainly was an abundance of wildlife! I got lots of great photos...especially mother penguins with their babies!

Tell us about Zodiac excursions

I loved going in the zodiacs! What fun to ride through the ice and wander around some huge icebergs! I loved the adventure of landing on the shores! I looked forward to each day and wanted to spend as much time as possible cruising and getting to land. I didn’t want it to end!

Tell us about the expedition team

The expedition team was fabulous! They were very friendly, had a lot of knowledge and absolutely seemed to love their jobs and Antarctica itself! Maria was an excellent expedition leader. She led a very highly organized expedition and made sure that we were always informed about what was happening and that we got the maximum time on land...we even had bonus excursion! I loved Katie's talks, or rather stories! She is a natural storyteller and mad the history of Antarctica come alive. I also enjoyed Tracy's talks. He is so enthusiastic about geology and land formations! Conny was very friendly and we spent time just talking with her.

Tell us about the Hebridean Sky

I loved the ship, it was very comfortable! Our stateroom was nice size and I did not feel claustrophobic when in it! The ship was nicely appointed. I liked being able to go all over the ship, even the bridge. I did not really think the food was outstanding Qbut there certainly was enough to eat!

Something Else?

Loved, loved, loved the trip! I’ve now been on all 7 continents and am so glad I made this trip! The land is so beautiful!
