Truthfully, the sunset on the first night was otherwordly. However, the frequency and the amount of wildlife that we encountered on the trip was also fantastic.

The never-ending sunset over a calm sea. A-68 iceberg. Ice popping while kayaking. The people I met. Truly amazing and magical!!!

We came across umpteen Humpack whales in a bay one afternoon. At one point we counted 16 within 100 metres of our Zodiac - amazing!

Chris and I got engaged the first day we saw land!! Then just the icebergs. The most uniquely beautiful things I have ever seen.

Great experience in emerging into the Antarctic wildlife environments. Interacting with expedition team members and learning from their knowledge and skills. Excellent atmosphere for friendship with other participants during the entire trip.

December 19 when we found ourselves encircled with a pod of about 12 whales that were communicating with each other as they surfaced and checked these yellow coated camera-happy humans out… it was a warm, sunny, still afternoon and truly indescribable the paradigm felt.

The crew was incredible! Edgardo with our room, Joel, Mark, Onofre and the rest of the team in the dining hall, the entire expedition team!

While kayaking in Graham Passage I was lucky enough to witness a huge ice calving. Throughout the voyage there were so many whale sightings and even a few leopard seals.

A day on the zodiac with Alex where we spent time with a pod of 4 Humpback Whales surrounding our boat plus the Polar Plunge and everything else which came with this amazing adventure!

First stop in the Shetland Islands. The hike around penguins was outstanding. We saw penguins sitting on eggs, sitting on baby penguins, and even saw a penguin hatch. The sounds of the penquins was joyful. Excellent start to a week of adventure.
