Overall, how was your trip?

I answered NO above because, at my age, there are just too many other places to see. Chile was a completely new country to me and it was interesting to learn about the history. The Andes are awesome. Antarctic wildlife was like just a few places in the world were humans are not feared. That is so unusual and a privilege to experience.

In one sentence, what did you think of Antarctica? Did it live up to your expectations?

The Antarctic was different from what i expected but the overall experience was greater than i expected.

Would you visit again?

No

How was the service that Swoop provided?

Excellent in all respects.

How likely is it that you would recommend Swoop to a friend?

You chose a/an 66 Degrees South Fly Cruise experience. How was that experience?

It was the most passenger diverse cruise that i have experienced and much appreciated. Great guides. Would recommend to others.

If Swoop arranged some of your travel before/after your voyage. How did we do?

Everything worked out well. The guide in Chiloe was excellent and i would highly recommend him again.

How were your experiences on the zodiac excursions and shore landings?

Very well organised and we felt safe at all times despite some wet landings and steep hikes. There was every attempt to ensure that every opportunity was taken to get us to shore.

Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?

Omitted to mention the only concern. The last day on Antarctic was the coldest and we had to wait in the open to a long time whilst the incoming plane and passengers arrived. Some shelter, even behind a building, would have been beneficial.

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?

Lots of layers of clothing but nothing posh needed.

Anything else? Tell us anything you’d like to share that we forgot to ask! It’s ok to leave this empty too :-)

Been to Arctic already and there are other places on our list above Patagonia.
