Hard to say, there were so many.....stepping onto the continent for the first time was really a special moment, I loved camping on the continent...the kayaking was amazing, I could go on forever. What a fantastic trip!

Tell us about the wildlife
It was amazing! Watching the orcas was probably my favorite.
Tell us about Zodiac excursions
Yes, I enjoyed them very much and never felt unsafe. Most memorable moments were up close seal encounters and the great views of the icebergs.
Tell us about the expedition team
The entire staff was fantastic! I especially enjoyed all of the wildlife and weather lectures.
Tell us about the Plancius
Food was excellent and the cabin was very comfortable. The lounge was also a great location to socialize with other passengers.
Tell us about Ushuaia
I ended up with two days to spend in Ushuaia, so I spent a day hiking at Tierra del Fuego and another day at Laguna Esmeralda. Both days were a lot of fun. Definitely loved the food in Ushuaia.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Nothing in particular, other than plan to arrive a few days early to allow time for flight delays, lost bags, etc. I didn't have any problems but others on my trip did.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Just really made me appreciate a pristine, unspoiled environmnent
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Everything was fantastic! As I mentioned before, I think the mountaineering was a little bit oversold with regard to level of difficulty and equipment required. I bought an expensive pair of mountaineering boots that I ended up not needing to use, and half of those who went mountaineering wore the ship-provided boots, and almost no one had the experience that was stated to be a requirement. The mountaineering was not much more than a glorified walk up a hill with participants joined by ropes.
Was there anything else Swoop could have done for you to help you prepare for your trip?
No, I think most of the pre-trip info that was provide was outstanding.
