What was your most memorable moment?

Getting married in Antarctica was amazing experience and clearly the most memorable experience. I think Swoop and the team on the boat did an amazing job accommodating our ceremony and was extremely please all around the experience. Outside of that, the interactions and viewing of the animals was also an amazing experience. Awesome to see baby penguins go from eggs, to small chicks, to larger chicks depending upon the part of Antarctica we were in.

Tell us about the wildlife

IT definitely lived up to our expectations and all interactions with the Penguins / Seals was an awesome experience. We got all the photos we were hoping for and more, it is hard picking our favorites.

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?

Make sure you pack all the items suggested in your list. It was a very good list and we felt very prepared for the weather.

Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?

Would highly recommend it to people.

Do you have any recommendations or feedback for the Swoop team?

The one feedback I would is to provide is that we went and bought mountaineering boots for the trip. When we got on the boat we found out that the mountaineering boots we had were not good enough (they weren't rigid enough) to door mountaineering with crampons. My suggestion would be to work with the ship’s operator to provide some better guidance on what type of shoes would be acceptable for mountaineering with crampons and maybe provide a few specific examples of good/better/best shoes that someone can purchase if they wanted to do the mountaineering. We were lucky enough that another couple had the same shoe sizes as us and we were able to borrow their shoes so it worked out for us.
