The expedition leader and staff were fabulous. We had complete confidence in all our zodiac trips.
Tell us about the Ocean Nova
The operator has three ships--the Hebrides Sky, the Magellan and the Ocean Nova. The expedition team and the crew who have served on all three agreed the Ocean Nova was the best. Better to have fewer passengers (65) ,higher ratio of expedition team to guests. better food and a terrific staff on board. Everyone on board made sure we had a great trip. I don't know why anyone would want to spend time in the Drake Passage. Better to fly over!
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Definitely choose the Ocean Nova and her ship’s operator. Fly over the Drake Passage.
Tell us about the wildlife
The expedition leader and staff made sure we saw a lot of wildlife. We spent hours with the penguins. We saw whales and seals. We got really close to animals both on land and in the zodiacs.
