Tell us about the wildlife

Not as many whales as we were expecting to see, especially at this time of the season. We had an amazing encounter with a very large pod of Dusky Dolphins. Saw loads of penguins.

Tell us about the expedition team

Expedition team were very knowledgeable and safety was their main concern. they did a brilliant job of ensuring we got ashore and back onboard safely.. Staff were not as friendly as expected. they did not actively seek out passengers to talk to and kept themselves to themselves when not leading expeditions. it would have bben nice if they could have sat with passengers at mealtimes instead of sitting at an expedition staff table. The lecture on photography shoulkd have been at beginning of the trip instead iof right at the end!!

Tell us about the Sea Spirit

Nice ship, great cabin, food was plentiful with good choices including healthy choices. Almost too much choice. Alcohol was far too expensive. $8 for a mediocre glass of wine and $7 for a can of Stella Artois was extortionate. They advertised a wine tasting evening for $80 a head - nobody signed up for it. Offering bottles of wine at dinner time for over $240 a bottle was ridiculous. I would choose this ship again as it is the right size. However, a mud room where damp kayaking gear and mud boots could be left instead of taking to the cabin would have been good.
