A beautiful vessel. Even as we crossed the Drake enduring 9 hours of a level 9 on the Beaufort, I never was afraid. The captain, his crew and the ship herself instilled the confidence needed.

Most unfortunately my insurance company would not pay my claim. I am still pursuing it.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Bring wool. Double your gloves. Maintain a sense of humor no matter how high the Beaufort scale, and most of all enjoy this life rocking other worldly experience. It's way better than a cruise.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
I have always loved trees, plants and nature. Now I appreciate them as well!
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Emphasize that travel insurance should be purchased within 14 days of booking. Because it wasn't, my $30,000 trip is currently costing me $57,000. Painful to Say the least. No coverage of refund due to ship’s operator bankruptcy in sight !
