Tell us about Zodiac excursions
Getting up close to the icebergs was awesome. The crew are you feel very safe getting in and out of the zodiac even when the water was rough. A leopard seal was headed straight for our zodiac and you got a really clear view of its face.
Tell us about the expedition team
The expedition team was very knowledgeable and friendly. Stand out staff - Marty, Nicole, Connie.
Tell us about the Seaventure
The cabin was spacious and comfortable. Jaypee took excellent are of our room. The lunch selections were not as good as the breakfast and dinner selections.
Something Else?
The hotel was way more than was needed. Would have preferred a hotel in the downtown area. We originally booked for November of 2019 - we were bumped off that ship by a photography group. We were offered an upgrade but lost it with all the covid delays. That was a disappointment. All of the crew were wonderful, cheerful, friendly and helpful.
Were Swoop right to recommend Polar Latitudes?

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Ask about the footing of the landing excursions.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Not really. The polar plunge did make me feel triumphant for accomplishing a unique experience.
How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
I was extremely prepared. I was excited to see all the different wildlife.
