Tell us about Zodiac excursions
The drivers were very polite. They were aware of human needs and wildlife needs. They respected the wildlife.
Tell us about the expedition team
The team was knowledgealbe. My favorite members were Edwardo, Elke, and Sid. I felt that the whaling lecture was very memorable.

The food and accomidations were better than I expected.
Tell us about the Camping
It is a unique experience. I enjoyed it. But I would to the adventurer only.
Tell us about the Kayaking
I loved being on the water. The sea kayaks were durable. Unfortunately the petals on the them were missing in the back seats and often got stuck in the front seats. The paddles were twisted and uneven. Had I known this I would have packed my own paddle. The neoprene boots and suit was in good condition though. The kayak guide (David) was not a personable. Many of those who signed up for kayaking were getting ready 15-30 min early because they were concerned of angering him.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
For those with food allergies, it might be better to eat in their cabins. The team was good about making sure my food was free of shellfish (my allergy), but the ventillation in the dining hall is not as good. So the air continued to have the odors and containmenants for a few days. This made difficult to breath some days and I had to leave the room.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Most team members were kind and friendly. All were very helpful. Jerica made me and others feel welcome by remembering everyone's name. Elke had an infectious energy that was wonderful to be around. Edwardo was lively and fun as well as a good educator. Sid was personable and delightful.
How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
I felt very prepared. Plus the gift shop had a few things that I could get if needed.
