Being at the bottom of the world, and so far from civilization, was a concept that kept amazing me every time I thought about it.

Highlight: Lemaire Channel with some of the staff members. It was the most beautiful place I have ever seen. For instance the glaciers pressed up against the mountainous areas on either side of the ship. My senses were heightened during this experience. I also enjoyed the polar plunge at the Antarctic circle. I met the most incredible people from my neighbors on the 4th floor to some of the staff members. I enjoyed talking about polar exploration with staff member Sam and David the expedition leader. I made a new friend with one of the passengers who lives in Malaysia! -- We plan to visit one day.

After going through all this it is tough to see doing it again with out some incentive and other vacationplans to feel as if we might accomplish something

The multitude of wildlife on S Georgia, the icescapes on and around the Antarctic peninsula . The knowledge and infectious enthusiasm of the expedition leaders . The gourmet dining and wining and the luxury of the cruise ship.

The most memorable part was the trip up the Drygawlski Fiord from Larson Harbor on South Georgia Island. It was just above freezing and snowing but the water was so cold that the snow was not melting but collecting on the water. The raw beauty of the fiord was stunning especially with the dusting of snow. The geography of our location was expertly described by our leader Stephi which added to the amazement of the moment. We saw at least 6 and perhaps 7 Wendell seals with a couple swimming around our Zodiac as we cruised and floated. There were also some Fur seals to entertain us. The steep sides of the fiord, the glaciers and waterfalls made the whole trip magical.

The abundance of wildlife and incredible scenery made each day uniquely memorable.

Definitely arriving in the Antartic peninsula, with the boat driving through sea ice, the ice closing behind us, icebergs everywhere and an enormous blue glacier ahead - extraordinary

We loved sea kayaking on our trip! The overall scenery was just astounding as well. The crew on Quark (expedition and service) were all fantastic.

I expected beautiful scenery and it didn’t disappoint but I was overwhelmed with how many whales encounter we had, I cried because I tried and paid to see whales in at least 3 different countries and saw none, the penguins are of course hilarious and made me laugh. Coming to Antarctica in March was key.

Stepping onto the Antarctica mainland. It was my 7th continent to touch in my lifetime.

There were so many memorable moments! If I had to choose, it would be our days in Antarctica, the hike to the caldera on Penguin Island, our first landing on the continent, the hikes to the top of hills for magnificent views, the zodiac cruises to see wildlife and icebergs. Getting to see the wildlife in their natural habitat was nothing short of amazing!

The pristine nature of the environment and the life that lives there. Very appreciative of seeing a land where human impact is negligible.

Honestly, every single thing about this trip was incredible. My husband and I travel a lot, but this was hands down the most incredible experience we've ever had. If I had to pick one thing, I would say kayaking was our favorite part. We really enjoyed being able to explore and see wildlife from a completely unique view.

Would say this would be the twice-daily Zodiac excursions revealing the wildlife, habitat, geology, etc. We saw a leopard seal, heard calving glacier, saw avalanche, saw killer whales (orcas).

I don't know if I can pick one - even 10 days later. The BBQ on the deck, the zodiac tour in the snow with humpbacks, polar plunging, the penguins, the Lamaire Channel, for sure! Every day had something shocking and wonderful and glorious and we really tried to just experience each day. We lucked out with weather and lack of motion sickness, so the entire trip felt charmed.

The Zodiac cruise among the icebergs, sheet ice, and pack ice around Pleneau Island, accompanied by an intelligent, well-informed guide who took a few "ice-breaking" risks and kept us all well-informed as to exactly what he was doing.

This is so difficult because there were so many memorable moments. I think the one that will stick with me for the rest of my life, and the one that had me feeling the most emotions, was the sunset near Liard Island. We had just crossed the Antarctic Circle and the captain held us stationary as we watched the sunset. The sounds of whales were all around us and the light was perfect. I’m a sucker for sunsets and this one brought tears to my eyes. I will never forget this moment!

During my kayaking session, we had a whale encounter where a humpback whale dove just in front of our kayak and swam underneath us. I can't describe how amazing that was to see such an incredible animal in the wild and that close to me.
