Overall, how was your trip?

After going through all this it is tough to see doing it again with out some incentive and other vacationplans to feel as if we might accomplish something

In one sentence, what did you think of Antarctica? Did it live up to your expectations?

No. Never made it as tour cancelled by the ship's operator do to no boat and then weather

Would you visit again?

Maybe

How was the service that Swoop provided?

Swoop was fine. Correspondence was very good. Appreciate all the follow up. Only thing that would have been appreciated is a more proactive stance as to rebooking the flights home such as giving options that were available on google flights but overall I am pleased with Swoop and would consider you again if we were to decide to try Antarctica again

How likely is it that you would recommend Swoop to a friend?

9 out of 10

You chose a/an Antarctic Fly & Cruise Safari experience. How was that experience?

Did not go. The ship's operator had to cancel. By not having the boat at King George Island as scheduled the entire trip was delayed and caused the cancellation. They did not meet their responsibilities and did not anticipate the need to get their boat there early Their contigency plan was a lot of sitting around and then travelling from place to place and waiting at airports. Not very satisfying but in retrospect can understand their postion as to cost but certainly was the worst vacation ever had.

If Swoop arranged some of your travel before/after your voyage. How did we do?

We did our own arrangements.

How were your experiences on the zodiac excursions and shore landings?

Would love to someday be able to answer this the staff led by Aileen were not the best communicators nor were they able to relieve a lot of the tension in the rooms as there were too many period of radio silence. The ship operator's corporate response was unfeeling and felt very corporate and not at all looking to build loyalty or empathy. Would have to think twice about booking with them but trying to be fair in that we did not see them doing what the do best

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?

If any one is thinking of doing this trip plan other activities before or after otherwise you take the chance of having a complete and total feeling of dissapointment and sence of lost time and money. these delays happen very often and one should understand that contingency plans only mean finding you a place to stay and eat and does not mean entertain you

Anything else? Tell us anything you’d like to share that we forgot to ask! It’s ok to leave this empty too :-)

I think the ship's operator should be offering the 50% off for lifetime or at least 5 years. Does the other fly/cruise operator ever offer 50% or 405 discounts since they are mor expensive. Looks like end of 2019 beginning of 2020 as the earliest we would consider another trip thanks
