Highlight: Cuverville Island We liked the landscape and the wildlife a lot. Due to strong winds, quite some landings had to be cancelled (including the camping), but this was well explained and managed by the crew. The staff was very good.

Paddling in Fournier Bay surrounded by humpback whales. There were blows everywhere. There were whales trumpeting. Two sleeping whales floated to the raft of kayaks and then veered off in a quick turn with flipper up and were about 10 meters from us. We could smell their breath.

Climbing the hill at the first landing on the Antarctic peninsula and turning around and seeing the ship sitting in the bay and understanding the time and effort required just to get there. It was so alien, it felt like I was standing on the moon.
