Honestly the people and crew I spent time with while on the cruise. I went solo and was worried about being bored and alone on the cruise. I'm glad my budget basically had me limited to having a shared quad cabin. I ended up making friends with some amazing people in my cabin and the guys next door as well. I hope we all keep in contact. Also the crew was AMAZING they were professional but all so real and their backgrounds and histories could keep people entertained for days.

There were several, such as the spectacle of King penguins (adults and brown chicks) playing in the sand and surf on a picture perfect beach at our unexpected first landing in the Faulklands, on an incredibly warm, sunny day - just a spectacular scene. Or the incredible sky show put on by unique lenticular clouds in the region. Or spending some time with 3-4 Blue whales as they swam near our ship in the Gerlache Straight.

Seeing the Antarctic Ice for the first time, the first Iceberg, the lighting contrast between the mountains of rock and the glaciers, the whales, the seals, the penguins...... Oh, and scuba diving in what I stated above, seeing it first person. Really special!

Several come to mind - first sighting of a massive berg - size of a multi-storey car park (the visible bit) as we left South Georgia - multiple Humpback whales (15-20) surrounding our zodiac for best part of an hour - Orca pod systematically hunting and drowning a fin whale - penguins galore on S Georgia
