It was amazing. The wildlife was endless and the highlight was probably seeing 30 whales bubble feeding right in front of our zodiacs. The staff were brilliant - so helpful, informative and nice. Met some wonderful people who we will keep in touch with! Loved the whole thing. The only shame was the cyclone which stopped us going down the Weddell sea which I had been so excited about - a real disappointment but staff did all they could to make the time on the ship great.

Hard to determine which one was the most memorable as every day was historic. If I had to pick one I think it would be when the captain stopped the ship in the middle of the night and alerted all the passengers to the huge number of whales on both sides of the ship. Literally hundred's. I stopped for about 2hrs to let everyone enjoy the sightings.

It would be misleading to identify a particular moment as the MOST memorable, because there were so many. First sighting of icebergs; the sound of cracking ice; rumble of avalanches; the vast, ever-changing land and seascapes; ploughing through the sea ice in a zodiac; close encounters with penguins, seals , whales.

The expedition crew was excellent, very knowledgeable and friendly. They were obviously enjoying the trip and landscapes and wildlife as much as we were. The other passengers were also friendly and personable. 100 (+/- 10) passengers made it possible to meet almost everyone. The aft deck on the Herculean Sky was a bonus....a great place outdoors to have lunch and watch birds ans WHALES (100s of them). The sheer size of the penguin rookeries was breathtaking.

Touching down on the main continent. I had only dreamed we'd maybe get to touch down perhaps once, but the incredible expedition team and crew were able to get us down 3 times! I was blown away, and was very impressed and pleased by how the teams worked hard to make that dream happen.

Wow - so hard to select just one! I would say the day we were on the Zodiac, and our guide - unfortunately I don't remember who it was! - had us close our eyes and be silent for one minute. When I opened my eyes I felt like I entered a new, amazing, world of peace and love. Hard to describe, but so powerful.

The trip was full of memorable moments - for the first three days, it was just one awe-inspiring moment after another, and really we continued to be surprised and delighted up until the last hour. If I have to pick one moment, I’m going to pick the bum slide down a steep slope overlooking a calving glacier and a tranquil, iceberg-filled bay that followed a lovely hike past a penguin rookery. But also: the orcas appearing during the whale talk, the baby humpback breaching off the bow of the zodiacs, the polar plunge, watching from the outriggers as the the boat cut through the ice, drinking macallan with ice fresh from a berg, having an impromptu dance party with my husband on top of a volcanic cinder cone. It was just a super trip from beginning to end.
