Getting off the boat and amongst the various wildlife. Whether it was hiking , kayaking or on the zodiac. The naturists made an outstanding experience extraordinary. Natural Geographic and Lindblad is certainly the way to go.

Overall, it was a fabulous trip, something I had dreamt of doing since the late 1960's. Financially, I have only now been able to do it and I was absolutely thrilled by the whole package and experience. A personal experience of exploration and learning which I will always treasure.

Hiking on the continent and seeing the Penguins, Seals, Whales, Glaciers and Icebergs. Kayaking, Camping. Mountaineering and going out on the Zodiaks were special as well.

We went to see wildlife and we saw every species we had hoped to see and in greater detail and much closer than expected! We had humpback whales playing about our zodiac! The landscapes were as expected however our captain used the landscapes to make our sailing experience better than nature was offering. We met wonderful fellow travelers, any one of whom we would be delighted to meet again or host in our home. Our most magical moments were interacting with fellow travelers and wildlife.

Everything about this experience was top notch and amazing. The level of service, the organization, the accommodations, and most of all the day to day views and activities. This is a trip that everyone needs to experience.

This was my second trip to Antarctica with SWOOP and it wa smooth and seamless. I loved our evenings at the bar with the music - and of course all the zodiac cruises and landings. Whale watching was excellent but it was kind of sad that we couldn't have hung around with the whales on our last day as we were cruising back to Ushuaia.

I marked maybe because we like to experience new ventures so as the saying goes "been there, done that:. The highlight was the zodiac cruises to see the icebergs and sea life. The people were a mix of 16 nationalities, all very friendly and interesting. The biggest and most appreciated surprise was the cabin upgrade. The most magical moment was seeing the full moon rise over the mountain top.

When they cancelled our flight back because the runway was not safe to land the trip was ruined. They had no other backup plan to get us safely off Antarctica. We are currently rocking and rolling in the Drake Passage on the Nova and won’t be home for at least 3 more days. All our reservations to get home had to be cancelled and rebooked. At the least we’re spending another $3-5K to get new reservations to get home. No one so far is offering to compensate us for our troubles. The only reason we booked this trip with Antarctica21 was to avoid the Drake Passage. That was their selling point and they blew it. My wife has been sea sick ever since we started sailing north and we won’t be off the boat until Friday, if then. My feet touching antartica for the first time. The hike up to gorgeous views at the top is the snow covered mountains. And to be there in the moment I’d live whales and penguins all around me. Wow!

Gentoo penguins up on my chest and laps, they were so friendly. I also love the king penguins, so dignified and regal except when they fight over dominance over a partner.
