Overall, the trip was fantastic. We had so many new and amazing experiences that it is hard to pick a highlight. But some of my favorites include the first landing. After spending two and half days rocking and rolling across the Drake, stepping on terra firma in a completely alien environment, surrounded by thousands of Gintoo and Chinstrap penguins and Weddell seals, was pretty overwhelming (in a good way). Other favorites were paddleboarding, camping, and just taking it all in. The views from Cuverville and Danco Islands, the endless visibility, and the ice. We met a lot of great people on the trip, many of which I think we will stay in touch with. Everything on the trip was a surprise, but the biggest one was learning that Trump was elected while we were down there. With very limited connectivity, they published the results in reception in the morning and it caused quite the scene. People crying, strategizing on how to stay on Antarctica for 4 years, etc. At least we all had something to talk about during the meals!

It was a great trip. We were able to go on shore every day. I was able to ice climb which was very fun. The people I met on the cruise were great.

It was so much more than expected. Mountaineering was so satisfying, and kayaking was just so much fun.

Weather, staff, other guests, wildlife, landings, campings, kayaking, mountainerring, food. Just about everything.

We enjoyed everything about the trip - new sights, new people new experiences. Landscapes and wildlife were fantastic and everybody on the ship was friendly and a joy to be with. We have already regaled our grandchildren and would urge them in due time to go on something similar. One highlight was being joined by a Leopard Seal asked zodiaced as was every penguin encounter and our visit to Grytviken.

Highlights: the ship; the colours of the ice; the tameness of the wildlife; the rust, romance and rottenness of the whaling stations; the clearness of the air; the icebergs.... Surprised by the diversity of people on the boat: age/nationality/backgrounds. Enjoyed the library and having time to do some background reading on the history/wildlife etc. Loved the food.

Stepping onto Antartica!

Seeing all the incredible wildlife! The expedition team told us how rare it was to see all the whales we saw!

Discrimination by one of guides. He treated us like prisoner. Whole trip was stressful. We had done trip to Franz Joseph land with this company and had good experience. However there is severe deterioration in company. One of guides ( They know name) worked in police department in remote island and they hired him as guide. There was no tourism experience and many guides were inexperienced people and had severe attitude problem.

So many wonderful moments on the trip! Each landing, I would spend some time just quiet and alone, feeling the vastness of the area, just watching the penguins and disappearing into the scenery. That was my favorite part.

All the wonderful people we met! By the way, your rating scale inhibits an outstanding rating only because it was not life changing. It was beyond amazing though!

Antarctica exceeded every expectation! The overwhelming grandiosity is difficult to put into words.
