Tell us about the wildlife

Loved kayaking with whales, seeing leopard seals and the multiple penguin colonies.

Tell us about Zodiac excursions

Yes, totally safe. Great seeing whales from zodiacs and also cruising around Fournier Bay.

Tell us about the expedition team

The team was awesome, so knowledgeable and friendly. We loved the staff. Pablo and Bob were two of our favorites. The best lecture was the final one, related to the environment from Bob.

Tell us about the Magellan Explorer

The cabin was amazing and kept so clean by the staff and the staff that served food was super helpful and friendly. Food was great.

Tell us about Punta Arenas

We didn't like Punta Arenas. Not much to see, not much to do.

Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?

Not anything that SWOOP didn't already cover.

Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?

Emma was very helpful in all facets of planning and I strongly enjoyed working with her. She was on top of things and made sure we were too. She also was tremendously responsive.

Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?

We were awed by Antartica and one of our sons may want to spend time during his gap year there.

Was there anything else Swoop could have done for you to help you prepare for your trip?

Not really.
