The most memorable moment was when we were in the zodiac and we had 2 leopard seals swim right up to us and then under our zodiac. We also saw a leopard seals eat a penguin the same day.

Being at the bottom of the world, and so far from civilization, was a concept that kept amazing me every time I thought about it.

It is hard to pick just one given how incredible the trip was, but one of my favorites was sea kayaking among fur seals.

The pristine nature of the environment and the life that lives there. Very appreciative of seeing a land where human impact is negligible.

We were able to go to so many locations and the terrain of each location was so different..

There were 3 - 1. Charlotte Point when it was so quiet I could hear a lone humpback whale sing against a snowy highland backdrop and pink skies during dawn - when mother nature took me to its heart; 2. Overlooking the colony of some 250,000 adult and chick King penguins in St Andrews' Bay on a clear sunny day brought tears to my eyes as nature thrives against all odds; 3. 2 humpback whales swam under and over to our zodiac, raising their heads a few times within an inch of our zodiac to check us out and listen to my husband and I talk to them, showing such sentience, consciousness and gentleness.

The first steps on Antarctica- we were surrounded by penguins! We arrived way ahead of time, so got to get on the continent earlier than expected. It was raining and blustery, but made it feel real!
