The trip to Antarctic allowed me to see the part of the world that is far far away from us. And the trip also allowed me to think the environmental connections of our life to that part of the world.

On South Georgia, 5 gentoo penguins approached me. I stopped and stood still. They continued towards me and stopped a few feet away looking at me. After a couple of minutes they continued on their way taking care of whatever penguin business they had.

EVERYTHING (apart from the seasickness). This trip was truly life affirming. From the scenery to the wildlife to meeting new wonderful people... it just kept giving and giving... I actually cried when I left the ship. I loved EVERY second and only wish I could go back and do it all again.

Our most memorable moment was when we crossed the Antarctic Circle and then found a landing site where we could play like kids in the snow.

The landscape views were fantastic. It was simply mesmerizing to sit and look at the wild, untamed wilderness of the 7th Continent.

It's hard to pick a specific moment because the entirety of the expedition was exceptional. I would have to specify kayaking among the icebergs as my top priority, but this is only by a tiny margin compared with the wildlife encounters.

WE went out in kayaks and hear the glaciers crack and rumble. I have been around snow and glaciers my whole life but to be sitting on the water in the quiet hearing those sounds... it was magical!

We paddled in Paradise Cove near whales which was peaceful and glorious. It was also the same day back home that my beloved aunt passed away. The experience of kayaking near whales brought peace to my teary heart. That was definitely one of the most dear memory moments. There were so many memorable moments in Antarctica from the otherworldly sea- glacier- iceberg- landscapes, to the birds mammals, and invertebrates—like jellyfish!, to the people—like the expedition team who shared warmth and fascinating information and the other guests who became our friends. Antarctica was definitely an adventure of a lifetime.

When the emperor penguin slid across the ice floe and came right up to our zodiac. He was curious and unafraid to examine us for what seemed like an eternity. It was magical and unreal! What a thrill to engage with this majestic creature.
