The Zodiac cruise among the icebergs, sheet ice, and pack ice around Pleneau Island, accompanied by an intelligent, well-informed guide who took a few "ice-breaking" risks and kept us all well-informed as to exactly what he was doing.

This is so hard to answer because there were so many memorable moments. I think our most memorable moments was during our first kayak trip. We landed our kayaks on a rocky beach to go see a penguin rookery. After getting out of the kayaks, we turned around to see dozens of Gentoo penguins walking by and going about their penguins business a handful of meters away. Nothing prepares you for how many penguins you'll see, how unfazed they are by you, and how adorable they are.

Great people on board, surprised of how young the travellers were (happy about that) staff were excellent, knew their stuff and always happy to answer questions. Very happy with wildlife we saw, best thing was the killer whales hunting a seal by creating waves and breaking the ice from below. Mountaineering was excellent, how very lucky to be on that particular outing as we got to climb an untouched peak

Definitely our kayaking sessions were the most memorable moments and having the penguins swimming around me and jumping on land that was really amazing.

Hard to pick one. The terrain in Antartica is hard to describe and the wild life in South Georgia was almost beyond belief. We had an awesome snowshoe at Fort Point and the hike and pilgrimage to Shackleton's grave was remarkable. We had wonderful meals with expedition staff and fellow travelers. The hotel staff even entertained us at a few meals.

I really struggled with this one because there were so many special places we visited and views that I captured with my camera, but the sight of huge icebergs was something so completely different than anything else I've ever encountered that it ranks at the top of the list.

Penguins - hands down. Walking among them on shore was the best. Zodiac trips a poor second but in the bird flu situation, understandable.

Seeing the emperor penguin colony and their chicks definitely amazing. The whole team provide good introduction to wildlife and different Antarctic islands. The team also send messages about ocean saving, wildlife preservation too
