I am still 'working through' my 7,000 plus photos and I am reliving some of these moments that I captured 'digitally'. It is impossible to reduce the trip to only 'one moment'. The first sight of the Antarctic Peninsula, watching Penguins stumbling over the rocks, hitting some ice at night that shakes the entire ship, South Georgia's sheer endless number of Penguins, Grytviken Whaling station, the endless cruising along the 80 mile long iceberg A76-a,...

Being able to set foot on Antarctica almost twice a day was incredible, and my most memorable moment was visiting Brown Bluff and seeing hundreds of thousands of penguins!

The Cruise was notable for having Greg run the trip. He seemed to know the weather and pointed us in the right direction each day. Most often the landings were great experiences, The staff and food as well as the accomodations were excellent as well. I loved every other aspect of the trip and would have liked a longer trip(in my dreams). If there was one hiccup, it was going to Stanley(staying in town was a waste of time unless you knew or were told to go to a bay to see penguins, etc, but it all was so disorganized at that time, we were not told about that option), I personally would have enjoyed a trip to an albatross colony. Perhaps most important to me was rooming with my grandson and spending the time with him and my daughter who live in Australia. I loved kayaking, the sights we saw, even kayaking in brash ice were real treats, and the support team were all engaged and fun to be with on this journey!

Hard to say, there were so many.....stepping onto the continent for the first time was really a special moment, I loved camping on the continent...the kayaking was amazing, I could go on forever. What a fantastic trip!

There are too many to share, but the one that stands out the most for me was when he had the Gerlache Orca's around the boat teaching their young how to hunt a humpback whale.

Once in a lifetime holiday. Amazing Adventure! Highlight (and there were many), but we encountered a pod of Orcas eating a minke whale. While that was exciting enough, there was a humpback in the area, that the Orcas then started to hunt as well. It turns out that pod of Orcas was comprised of Mothers with their young. The mothers were teaching their young how to hunt. So they were "playing" with the humpback (not from the side of the humpback, but it survived this encounter), but they did this literally next to our ship. It was amazing to watch. An experience I will never forget.

The trip was overall a matter of extremes—some things were outstanding and some things really fell short of expectations. Contracting Covid on the ship after avoiding it for over 2.5 years and having 5 vaccinations was a real surprise.

Having 10 humpbacks surrounding us whilst in the zodiacs. A couple were within touching distance. At one point 2 surfaced next to us as the glacier to our right calved. It was unreal.
