An artist's impression of the hotel room (currently under construction)
Deeply influenced by the ancestral camps of the area's indigenous Yahgan people and brought to life by a Patagonia-based architect, the hotel also reflects the beauty of its setting with a host of natural woods and earth tones throughout.
Guest rooms overlooking the rich green forest views or glittering water are designed to echo ship cabins, providing a seamless sense of continuity before you embark on your Silversea voyage. It’s this hallmark attention to detail that ensures nothing is overlooked – even the hotel’s name has been carefully considered, paying tribute to its position at 55° South and the cormorant, a bird long referred to as the seafarer’s symbol of fortune.
