Who are Silversea Expeditions?
Silversea Expeditions were founded in 1994 as the world’s first all-inclusive, luxury global cruise line. They have been taking travellers to Antarctica since 2008, successfully marrying true luxury with the expeditionary spirit of the White Continent. In 2018 Silversea Expeditions became part of the Royal Caribbean Group, which has fully owned them since 2020.
Silversea Expeditions have a fleet of three ships that can sail in Antarctic waters, and in 2022 they launched Silver Endeavour, a vessel specifically designed for polar operations, with one of the highest ice-class ratings possible, and reportedly one of the most expensive cruise ships ever constructed on a per berth basis.
