Opening the curtains that first morning in Antarctica and seeing the great white continent in all its beautiful glory. It was absolutely surreal.

I loved seeing the penguins on the highways! I loved seeing whales while in the zodiacs. I loved cruising by huge blue icebergs. I love camping, polar plunging, mountaineering....all of the activities!

The entire trip was exceptionally organized with great suggestions from Swoop on the details. All of the staff was polite, very helpful and quick to respond. I highly recommend Swoop if you’re envisioning a fun, highly organized expedition with timely suggestions on what to do and how to do them.

That first step on Antarctica soil (well, rocks). I needed the kind hands of several Ponant crew, but that moment was incredible. Walking along the beach -- needing to pause as a Gentoo waddled right towards me. Seeing, hearing, and smelling the colony, the brace of Antarctic cold made the experience visceral.

I still have a post trip "buzz" and there are simply too many memorable moments to recall on my month long trip to Patagonia and Antarctica - hiking onto the Grey Glacier looking into the Patagonian ice sheet, seeing the Torres del Paine or Fitzroy ranges in the flesh for the first time, or being blown away by the sheer size and immensity of the Antarctic glaciers and ice sheets and the abundance of whales and wildlife. Moving doesn't describe it.

Everything about this experience was top notch and amazing. The level of service, the organization, the accommodations, and most of all the day to day views and activities. This is a trip that everyone needs to experience.
