Barbecue and dancing on the ship in Paradise Cove. Scenery, food, camaraderie were amazing. Something I’ll never get to experience again.

Seeing over 50 Weddell, Crabeater and Leopard seals all sleeping together on an iceberg. Getting up at 5a.m. to watch from the bridge as we passed through Neumayer Channel.

Crossing the Drake passage, lectures on the wild life found in the area and then actually getting to see the animals. Visiting Deception Island, setting foot on the continent for the very first time. I enjoyed my time on the Hondius, amazing staff, Karolina, & DJ, and fellow ship mates.

As many people have said before, experiencing Antarctica is amazing and changes you in a way. It’s wonderful to be part of a select group who get to experience this amazing part of the planet and venture beyond the polar circle. The landscapes leave you full of awe, the wildlife interactions are great and the expedition teams do a wonderful job to optimise the adventure experience.

Having watched Blue Planet , experiencing the wild life in real and literally smelling the animals in their habitat was great. Seeing the Glaciers and ice floats rarely shown for the beautiful sculptures that they are was my highlight, not to mention to experience the rough seas that the early adventurers took in their boats

Seeing these animals just metres away was amazing. I was shocked with how beautiful South Georgia was goth in animals and in landscapes. Stunning.
