Tell us about Zodiac excursions
The ones where we just cruised were ok but too many passengers in the boat made photography difficult. Yes we felt safe
Tell us about the Plancius
It was a solid safe working ship. Plain without any extras. Nice to be able to visit bridge. Officers were very helpful in explaining ship operations. Cabin was spacious but plain. Very comfortable Food was excellent throughout voyage
Tell us about the expedition team
Good at their jobs, most lectures were solid and informative. They operated in a safe manner with great concern for all the wildlife. Helped us follow all the bio safety procedures. Eduardo, the Asst Expd leader gave engaging and very informative lectures. Pierre is very knowledgeable about whales.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Go for as long as you can afford. Every day is a treasure to see more things.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Much greater appreciation for the polar regions
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Everything Swoop arranged was wonderful. From Chile and Argentina to the voyage. I wish we had gone up to El Chatan in Argentina for a couple days. Might be something to offer to future customers.
