Orne Harbour
Discovered by Adrien de Gerlache's 1898 Belgian Antarctic Expedition, Orne Harbour curves, just 1 mile wide, into the west coast of Graham Land. It is often visited as part of a cruise of the Antarctic Peninsula whilst you're exploring the Gerlache Strait, and is well-known for its beautiful, shimmering glaciers, towering mountain peaks, and pure white ice and snow.
It is a popular spot for zodiac boat excursions, to get a more vivid view of the scenery, as well as to get closer to the colony of chinstrap penguins that nest in the cove. As well as the zodiac trips, visitors can also hike up the surrounding mountains, for example, Spigot Peak.
