Life before Swoop

I've always been passionate about exploring the world. My career in travel began in 2009 at a resort, where I organised family activities – everything from kids’ club sessions to high ropes adventures. Since then, I’ve been lucky enough to work across Europe, including a stint overseeing the entertainment programmes at campsites in France, and on cruise ships sailing around the Caribbean.

One of the most magical roles I’ve ever had was working for Santa. Welcoming coachloads of families and helping them meet Father Christmas after a sleigh ride through snowy forests was pure joy. It still fills me with warmth every time I think about it.

Why I love travelling

Travel is a huge part of my life to this day. Whether I'm soaking up the sun on the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt or hiking through the lush green mountains of the UK's Peak District, I love exploring the world.

Yet of all the places I’ve visited, Finnish Lapland stands out the most. Standing in the snow-covered wilderness, watching the Northern Lights dance above, was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. It opened my eyes to the beauty of the polar regions and why we need to protect them.
