Life before Swoop

My background is a colourful mix - I’m a beauty therapist by trade, but I’ve worked in everything from hospitality to a geology and fossil store! No matter the job, my favorite part has always been the people. I love going the extra mile to make someone’s experience feel personal and special. I’m also a huge creative at heart, so when I’m not at my desk, I’m usually painting or making something.

For the last few years, I’ve been living the slow mountain life in Canada, where I became neighbors with bears, elk and coyotes. I’ve spent my time hiking along glacier-fed icelines, skiing through winter, and camping under the stars. I’m no stranger to a challenge, whether it’s hiking an active volcano in Guatemala or living with a Mayan family and trying to learn Spanish. I can’t wait to bring that same curiosity and adventurous energy to the Swoop team.

Why I love travelling

There is nothing better than exploring. I believe in traveling as far and as often as you can - even if it’s just a short trip to somewhere new nearby. Stepping into someone else’s world, tasting their food, and seeing life through their eyes is a gift. It opens your mind in ways nothing else can, and I think the world is a better place when we all explore a little more.

Antarctica is the absolute peak of adventure - it's like stepping into a David Attenborough documentary. The mix of raw nature, penguins, and pure adventure is exactly why I love to travel.

I’m an Antarctic Customer Experience Coordinator here at Swoop, so once your trip is booked, I’ll be on hand every step of the way, from packing lists to questions about penguins.

I know that planning a trip to the end of the world can feel big, but I’ve got you! Having navigated solo through Central America and lived through -40°C winters in the Rockies, I’m well-acquainted with the logistics of adventure and extreme climates. I’m a people person through and through, and I’m dedicated to making your journey to the White Continent as seamless and exciting as the destination itself.
