Life before Swoop
- I was born and raised in Northern California where I was lucky enough to be surrounded by vast pine forests, snowy peaks, barren deserts as well as the mighty Pacific Ocean
- I have worked in the travel industry since 1996 which has afforded me ample time to assist others, as well as myself, with travel all over our beautiful planet
- My husband and I lived on the Monterey Peninsula in California for 15 years, while we raised our two children, and spent many an evening watching the sun go down over the bay while humpback whales spouted and fluked
- I now live in Derbyshire, England with my husband, two cats and a dog and you will find me in the Peak District at least once a week, hiking with the pup!

Why I love travelling
I adore travelling, for me every new experience is a change in perspective, a lesson learned, a memory created and time well spent.
I am enchanted by winter (maybe because I was born in December) and all things snow and ice. The silence that comes with snow is other-worldly, but then you also get new sounds too: crunching snow, dripping icicles and thundering glaciers and icebergs breaking apart.
I love exploring places where there is a feeling of extreme remoteness, where there's no sign of human presence and the snow-clad landscapes stretch unspoilt as far as the ice can see. Sailing past icebergs with seas as smooth as glass and surreal golden sunsets/sunrises is like visiting Paradise. Even better if there's some wonderful wildlife to see as you explore!

I am always excited to share the mystery and wonder of Antarctica and I hope to bring every customer's trip to life, beyond what they have even imagined. It is such a privilege to play such an important part in planning a trip and to help create memories that will last a lifetime.
Planning a trip can be overwhelming and I am so happy to help remove that stress. I hope to make it as easy and hassle-free as possible. The cherry on top is hearing about all the wonderful experiences I helped shaped, and with that, the proud feeling of a job well done.
