What was your most memorable moment?
On the island of West Point, standing on top of a bluff, at the encouragement of my cousin, and looking straight into the eyes of a young Albatross practicing his flying skills by flapping his large beautiful wings non-stop. The albatross were co-existing with two different species of penguins there as well. I was enchanted beyond belief realizing that my presence did not disturb these wild creatures in any way. They just carried on with their business and seemed quite accepting of we humans around them. It was a pivotal moment for me.

Tell us about the Kayaking
The kayaking program was beyond amazing! Eloisa, our kayak master, was excellent at listening to club members and responding to their many varied questions. She was enthusiastic and a very strong athlete! She clearly loves her work. She was so encouraging and physically helpful to all the members in developing a strong, successful team! She makes the kayak program. I cannot imagine how this program would be without Elo!!! Do not let her go!!!
How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
I felt well-prepared for Antarctica based on all the inform Poseidon and SWOOP provided ahead of time.
