Bad food in the sense everything had cream and the chef was a bit heavy with salt. For Asians, pasta done aglio olio is easier to accept than pasta done with carbora. Even lobster was done thermidor style. I lost my appetite by day 2.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Dont forget to protect your face from the cold. I had a beanie and wished I had a balaclava too.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Yup. I would do my part to protect Antartica from human invasion - esp with respect to krill or whale fishing
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Albatros will be sending out official photographer pictures - not sure if they will send via Swoop. Or directly. Kindly help us watch out for them and redirect if its necessary. Thanks
How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
I think we were 90% prepared gear wise. Physically we underestimated the dryness and cold winds. Even if it was mild when we went at zero to 5 degrees.
