What was your most memorable moment?
Seeing a penguin CITY. Tens of thousands of penguins. So much going on at the same time. It's an entire society.

Tell us about the expedition team
The expedition team was amazing. They were easy to get along woth, many of them were experts in a relevant scientific field, e.g. geology, birds, etc. Many of them were very creative, singing songs, writing vooks, poems, etc. They were inspiring to be around. Some especially outstanding individuals are: Diego (excellent leadership), Sophie (excellent zodiac driving and very inspiring poetry), Julien (great sense of humor and lectures) and Victoria (always cheerful and a great singer).
Tell us about the Ocean Albatros
Very comfortable ship. Cabin was very well thought through, i.e. enough space to put all of your stuff, bed large enough, shower small but comfortable, great view from the balcony. Food was generally good (some dishes less so) but it was not the point of the trip for me. I would easily choose this ship again.
Tell us about Zodiac excursions
Amazing excursions! Special thanks to Sophie for doing some first class driving around the icebergs allowing us to get close to the wildlife. She was also very knowledgeable about how to place the zodiac to get the best photos. I never felt concerned for my safety.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Do it!
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
I thought I had seen penguins before this trip (in a zoo). I was totally wrong. Seeing animals in a zoo is worthless. You get the wrong understanding about the animal.
How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
Well prepared. I was moderately excited. I got a lot more excited once I got onto the ship and we set sail.
