What was your most memorable moment?
Hearing and then seeing a glacier break off from the zodiac we were in near shore and then leaving with the boat driver immediately so as not to be caught up in a swell.

The Philippine crew at the various restaurants, the cleaners, the bartenders were really service oriented and top notch.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Go with HX. Take your seasickness pills to enjoy the trip.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Definitely. It was a time of reflection, slowing down, appreciating nature but also of learning thanks to the lectures and science programme.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Please have a better understanding of the processes and procedures and arrangements with HX. HX said suite passengers are taken care of and hence there was a private transfer arranged. Pls clarify with HX on this. Also other procedures like submission of forms and the fields. We have documented our email exchanges and queries so u should already have the feedback.
How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
I wasnt that prepared. We overpacked for the cold. HX external coat and boots were great. I didnt need waterproof hiking shoes.
