What was your most memorable moment?
Zodiac trip to shore to walk among the huge number of penguins , seals, elephant seals and traveling past several whales. The ice covered areas were like visiting another planet. Nothing like it anywhere else, not even Alaska. This was a very special place.

Tell us about Zodiac excursions
Both the trip to shore and the excursions by zodiac along the shoreline were excellent. Felt very safe and had opportunity to be visited by several whales, orcas and penguins during our trips.
Tell us about the expedition team
Great variety in personnel, several countries and all extremely competent in their area of expertise. Very friendly and good communicators. Especially enjoyed the team sharing dinner with the clients. Very interesting conversations both about their subject expertise but also their personnel story.
Tell us about the Ocean Victory
Ver clean and well layout. Rooms were spacious with almost too much storage space. We had French Balcony with great views and even though on higher level ( seventh) the stability of the ship made the Drake crossing very manageable. With favorable weather, only had one day with difficulties of sea sickness. Everything is easily reached and really enjoyed hot tub following our polar plunge.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Would highly recommend using SWOOP experts in selecting best cruise options and arrangements such as hotels, tours and transfers.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
We have done trips with our own planning but learned that organizations like SWOOP can be a tremendous help and certainly build confidence in making sure everything goes well.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
No recommendations for improvement, just a big thank you for being our partners through what was a lifetime event.
How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
Always apprehensive about the unknown, but felt we had done our homework and that SWOOP had prepared us well. As it turned out, we were well prepared.
