What was your most memorable moment?
Kayaking though the brash ice amidst icebergs, penguins and a leopard seal. So quiet and surreal. Absolutely wonderful!

Tell us about Zodiac excursions
Ortelius ran so many zodiac outings with such skill and safety precautions. We were able to get into the water and experience the total feeling of the Antarctic expanse. We were able to see so many awesome animals and ice landscapes.
Tell us about the expedition team
The guides were the best! Knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and fun! They know their stuff and I could tell they loved what they were doing.
Tell us about the Ortelius
A fabulous ship built for exploration! We wanted n expedition experience and not just a cruise. We totally got the expedition experience with the Ortelius! The captain wanted to find the best spots for us to explore. We almost made it to the 70° latitude. Awesome!
Tell us about Ushuaia
A lovely town tucked in at the "end of the world ". The people are very friendly and welcoming. Our hotel was good and the staff were very helpful.

I so appreciate the ongoing assistance of our SWOOP coordinators SARAH DUNN and ALEXANDRA BACHO. They really know this ins and outs of Antarctica travel and were very helpful and supportive! Thanks for making this special travel booking a once in a lifetime experience!!

Listen to the SWOOP trip advisors. They know their stuff!
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Antartica was much more than I ever imagined! It's so vast and immense, yet our expedition was right in the middle of it all. Humpback whales, Orcas, penguins, seals, icebergs, brash ice and so many birds. This is a magical place that needs to be totally protected and preserved!
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Just keep up the good work! All of my SWOOP contacts were knowledgeable, helpful and kindly supportive.
How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
Very prepared and way excited! This was a trip of a lifetime!
