What was your most memorable moment?
Seeing the icebergs for the first time and seeing penguins! Seeing orcas and a breaching humpback whale was also memorable, too many things to pick from! But I think mostly waking up to our first day in Antarctica and realising we had made it by seeing the snow!

Tell us about Zodiac excursions
Brilliant! A unique chance to see the scenery from lower down. Sometimes wildlife encounters took priority over actually exploring bays and harbours but the experiences we did have on the zodiaks were unreal.
Tell us about the expedition team
A great team! The daily briefings and wake up call were a nice touch to understand what was going on.
Tell us about the Ocean Albatros
Good selection of food, Ronnie and Warnika were amazing, we can't praise them highly enough! Would have been nice to have "grab and go" snacks that weren't cake and biscuits but we were never hungry! A great ship, would definitely use them again.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Research your options thoroughly beforehand as different times of year give different perspectives. Make sure the ship is right for you. Flights! Book closer to the time, Argentina Airlines cancelled/changed our flights a lot.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
I didn't realise Antarctica wasn't all snow and is a series of islands! The trip highlights the importance of taking care of the environment.

I had done a lot of research and the adventure planner helped, we felt well prepared and very excited!
