I didn't do many of these as i was kyaking instead.
Tell us about the expedition team
Difficult to give a favourite. Laura's Geology lectures were amazing, Dan & Rachel's wildlife knowledge was incredible, Will's History lectures were a delight, Russel's enthusiasm knew no limits. Zak and Julian were fantastic as our Kayak guides, and there photography was incredible. Ben's knowledge and photography skills were amazing. Marty's planning and guidance were superb, and his management of the team was outstanding.. None of the team deserve to be left out from overall praise.
Tell us about the Seaventure
Lovely Ship, excellent captain, Ships crew all very pleasant and helpful. Comfortable cabin. The food was very good, plentiful and a wide range of styles offered. The negative issue, was that I, and a good many other passengers were unfortunately laid low with severe salmonella food poisoning before we left South Georgia, which made rather a mark on the trip and spoilt the last part of the holiday. Would there be any compensation falling due for this occurrence?
Tell us about the Kayaking
Thoroughly enjoyed this experience. We got 8 sessions in, and were wowed by penguins whales and seals all at very close range. Our guides, Zak, and Julian looked after us extremely well and were very professional in their conduct and leadership. They were also excellent photographers, and have hopefully recorded footage to be shared with us. - Not yet received
How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
Very well prepared and also excited, but still unsure quite how everything would manifest. Our expectations were well met
