Tell us about Zodiac excursions
They were so much fun!! And the zodiacs made it possible to get so much closer to the wild life than I thought would be possible.

All the expedition leader were so knowledgeable, friendly and you could tell they genuinely wanted to be there and LOVE what they do!
Tell us about the Ocean Albatros
The entire staff from the dining room servers to the house keeping staff were so friendly and really excellent at their jobs.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
We brought too many clothes. Remember they give you a nice, warm and large parka you get to take home with you. And prepare to gain 10lbs from all the delicious food they are constantly preparing for you!
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
I never really understood exactly what was going on down in Antarctica, from the many ownership claims from so many different countries and the fact that no one body is really “in charge”. I learned that while the Antartica Treaty System has made rules to preserve the continent, it’s more of an honor system to make sure that everyone follows the guidelines to preserve the land, ocean and wildlife.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
I really enjoyed every part of this trip!
How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
I felt both prepared and excited, but really couldn’t fully understand the magnitude, rawness and pure beauty that is Antarctica!
