Above expectations. As this was the first trip of the season the ship was not completely full which was nice. I felt it would have been a bit crowded and less comfortable if it had been full - meals would have taken considerably longer and zodiac trips more extended etc. Food was surprisingly good with much more fresh food than I expected. Only downside was that some food combinations were a bit 'odd'; eg peas with breakfast egg and bacon! Staff were faultless and nothing was too much trouble.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Despite Swoop's plentiful advice, some of the clothing we took was not 100% ideal for the conditions. Think carefully about this.
