Great way to see what Antarctica. The best way to get close to an iceberg (safely). Also a great way to learn things from the excellent expedition staff

Absolutely first class. experts in their fields and stand up comedians.
Tell us about the National Geographic Explorer
Fantastic ship and crew. However, what I do not understand is that they do not sell Antartica merch. not even a t-shirt. What a huge opportunity missed. I would have bought T-shirts, maybe a hat/baseball cap with national Geographic/Lindblad Antarctic expedition on it. They leave a lot of money on the table. But an amazing ship with great food and a really excellent staff.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Don't bring a lot of base layers. it is much warmer than you think it will be. and meet your fellow travelers. Fascinating and very well traveled people.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
I wish we could protect more places like we protect Antarctica
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
I know this is not a swoop specific thing, but the methodology the Lindblad team used in the hotel before we finally left was a bit of a disaster. very poorly organized. There have to be better ways of handling that.
How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
I over packed on warm clothes. But all in all I felt well prepared for it.
