What was your most memorable moment?
Really South Georgia and the King Penguins and all the Icebergs in Antarctica. Of course, all the wonderful wildlife we saw throughout the trip.

Tell us about Zodiac excursions
Yes I felt safe and loved the zodiac cruises through all the ice in particular.
Tell us about the expedition team
Great team led by a man with over 30 years of experience. I really enjoyed all the staff members and lectures.
Tell us about the World Explorer
Nice clean ship and I believe the perfect size, not too large and not too small. Cabin was very clean and decent size. I just say the shower was amazing and I want it at home! The food was very good for the most part with just a few items needing improvement. Yes, I would take this ship again but apparently Quark is replacing it with the World Voyage which seems very similar.
Something Else?
Yes, I feel your documents on tipping need to be updated for sure. The recommended tips for the general staff is now $25/day not $15 to $20 as noted in my documents. In addition to that there was a separate tip for the Expedition Team.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Yes, think very seriously about Renting you Waterproof pants from the company in Ushuaia that Quark works with (they even have a discount). This is especially true if you arrive in Ushuaia a few days prior. I bought pants and ended up renting to be extra sure they would be excepted. The rental is cheaper than buying and you don't need to haul it all the way there and back plus you know it is acceptable.

I felt Swoop did an amazing job at preparing me for the trip!
