Always safe for us as passengers and safe for the wildlife! Most memorable was the cruise seeing all the whales.
Tell us about the expedition team
OMG were they knowledgeable! Marty was the leader - outstanding communicator and lovely gentleman. Lori Gross, leader of the educational programs did a fantastic job of lining up lectures and she is so easy to feel like you have known her all your life. Laura gave an emotional program on the ecology of the area that I have never before heard in such easy to understand terms. The entire team was top notch.
Tell us about the Seaventure
The cabin was great though it was missing some items that we later had to ask about. The service recovery and correction was spot on. Food was beyond good.
Tell us about the Kayaking
I did the single kayak excursion and it was in a lovely area. I would recommend.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Definitely include South Georgia.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
I will never forget how the climate changes in Antarctica affect the entire world.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
We kept having different folks assist us so I think some things fell through the cracks. But in the end, we were properly prepared. Also Exito was a great service for our flights.
