What was your most memorable moment?
Being able to see part of the world that is still untouched by humans. Sharing that moment with my nearest and dearest was icing on the cake.

Tell us about Zodiac excursions
Even when we couldn't disembark, the zodiac cruising was always a highlight. The wildlife was abundant, and the icebergs were the must-see, forever changing sculptures of the sea.
Tell us about the expedition team
The expedition team was fantastic. The whole team was passionate, knowledgeable, approachable and genuinely kind and welcoming. After a week together, I felt as though we said goodbye to dear friends. Amalia Emma Ken Kris Gordo
Tell us about the World Explorer
The food was incredible. I don't think I have ever eaten a better variety of food in my life. Every day we had something new to get excited about at meal time. The service staff was phenomenal. In particular, Nader and Chatli. They took incredible care of us throughout the whole week and went out of their way to make us feel special.
Tell us about the Paddling
My favorite part of the paddling excursion was when we stopped for a moment to soak in complete silence. No movement, no sloshing, no paddling, no talking... Soaking in the sounds of the antarctica was awe inspiring.
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
Make sure to emphasize flexible buffer days on either end of the journey. Weather is king in antarctica and the window to fly can be very slim. Ski goggles are not needed. Sunglasses were enough.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Traveling makes us better humans. Being able to appreciate a world untouched by people was very humbling. I would love to be able to do more expedition style excursions that involve helping the environment or educating others on how to do better for our planet.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
Otto and Carola are true gems. They were always available to answer questions with a smile and they went out of their way to find answers.
