Tell us about the expedition team
Every single expedition team member (1/25/26-2/8/26) was INCREDIBLE. They were so knowledgeable and friendly!! So approachable and energetic. Loved them ALL!!!
Tell us about Zodiac excursions
These were my FAVORITE!! I did feel safe at all times. My favorite cruises were with Elo and with Steve. They were very experienced and were able to navigate the waters and get us so close to incredible wildlife.
Tell us about the Sea Spirit
The ship exceeded my expectations. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but everything was so much fun. The food was 100% perfect. The hotel staff was absolutely incredible. I would absolutely choose this ship again, and I was so happy it was able to navigate to places the bigger ships couldn’t and that we had such a wonderful experience!!
Tell us about the Camping
I wish we could’ve done camping, but the environment/weather just did not cooperate. Next time!

I didn’t participate in kayaking, but I wish I’d had enough experience to be able to! It looked like so much fun!
Something Else?
I can’t believe how much fun I had and what a wonderful experience this was!!!! I loved the crew talent show and the gatherings we had to get to know each other better on the boat!!!
Do you have any tips or advice for other people planning a trip to Antarctica?
If the boat provides a parka, don’t bring your own parka! No need to bring boots, either. I brought waterproof, no-slip hiking shoes to wear on the boat. I brought wool under layers - they were perfect. I also would’ve brought some regular lounge clothes for the ship, but I just didn’t know if I would need them. I found they would’ve come in handy.
Has your experience changed your perspective in any way?
Yes - I’ve always loved traveling the world, and every time I come home, I’ve changed. I discover more about who I am, what I can adapt to and overcome, and what I’ll tolerate or change.
Do you have any recommendations for Swoop, or feedback about the team?
I can’t say enough good things about Swoop, Poseidon, Paz and her hotel staff, and Sergey and his expedition team. Thank you!!!
How prepared and excited for Antarctica did you feel?
Exceptionally! All of the materials you provided – reading and videos - all prepared me perfectly.
